I swapped the for a from a 68 Charger and swapped the for a built torqueflite. This was great combination. A /A8 Challenger is the best of both worlds. When cruising, it's a L 4-cylinder getting mpg that can instantly become a L V8 capable of in seconds.:) Although mid-grade is recommended, the /A8 is OK with regular. I don't know if the higher price of mid-grade is offset by better mileage. Old dodge owners are notoriously cheap and prices for old trucks is climbing. $$ used to be the expected price of an unloved truck. $ used to be a good price to buy solid shell with mininum rust. $ for a runner. Now finding anything between $$ requires dedication.
